Beffroi de Bethune

 This is the belfry of Béthune (Pas-de-Calais), one of the main cities of the Minig Basin of Nord-Pas-de-Calais. It's also one of the most ancient belfry. Indeed it was built in 1346, and rebuild in 1388. If the city was nearly totally destroy by the WW1, the belfry still stay up, even if he was damaged.
 At the top of the belfry you could see a dragon, one of the symbol of the city.

 It is located in the Grand'Place of the city, near the city hall. There is some typical flemish house of the Grand'Place at the background of the photo, with their typical "pas de moineaux" (sorry I don't know the translation), and one of the church of the city.

 Voici le beffroi de Béthune (Pas-de-Calais), l'une des principales villes du Bassin Minier du Nord-Pas-de-Calais. C'est également l'un des plus anciens beffroi de la région. Il fut en effet édifié en 1346, et reconstruit en 1388. Si la ville fut presque intégralement détruite lors de la Première Guerre Mondiale, le Beffroi résista bien qu'il fut toutefois endommagé.
 Au sommet du beffroi se trouve un dragon, l'un des symboles de la ville.

 Il est situé à la Grand'Place, près de l'hôtel de ville. Sur cette place on peut également trouver de nombreuses maisons flamandes, visible à l'arrière-plan de la photo, caractérisé ici par leurs "pas de moineaux". L'une des églises de la ville est également visible à l'arrière-plan.
